Plain Griddle Cakes (pancakes from scratch)

Sift:one cup flour2 teaspoons baking powderone-quarter teaspoon salt
Beat and add:one egg
Add:1 cup milk, stir in gradually to make smooth1 teaspoon melted butter or oil
Ladel into a hot frying pan. Flip pancakes when they bubble, to brown the other side.
Makes 4 pancakes.
