I really need a daughter…
…because last night I was putting barrettes in Josh’s hair and telling him how pretty he looked.
Damn computer…
Well, I had planned to post Christmas photos by now but my laptop hard drive is starting to die and I don’t want to tempt fate by trying to get photos off my camera. James plans to replace the hard drive soon so hopefully I’ll get to download photos then.
Santa has been!
We’re all set up and ready for Christmas morning!
The snack Adam left out for Santa - an Oreo truffle and some orange juice…
Santa’s delivery…
Our tree this year…
Closeup of our gifts…
I feel like the worst parent in the world…
James and I spent 2 hours tonight going through all the boys toys and cleaned out masses of stuff so that they have space to put their new toys away after Christmas. I had told Adam ahead of time that sometime soon I was going to take some of his toys to give to [...]
Snowpocalypse 2k8…the aftermath!
The snow even came up onto our front porch and got our light up presents that we tucked back into the corner!

Conversation with Adam…
*Adam walks across the room, sits in his little upholstered chair and looks at the tv*
Adam:Mummy I want to watch your show.Me: Which show? (I was thinking he wanted to watch Ellen since he often watches it with me)Adam: Roseanne!
What can I say? He’s a fan of classic sitcoms!
Josh in time out!
Today Josh had a time out for repeatedly knocking Adam’s jigsaw puzzles off the coffee table and touching the christmas card holder. He was not impressed.
I don’t wanna be in time out!!!!
Does one foot on the mat count as time out mummy?
Alright alright I’ll sit on the silly mat!
We knew this would happen eventually…
…he got his hands on 2 blankies. This afternoon Adam couldn’t find his blankie and begged me to come upstairs. I followed him up there and he went straight to his room, opened his wardrobe, asked me to pick him up whereupon he reached in and grabbed his backup blankie. I knew he had a [...]
The concept of race…
I never really expected to have to address this issue so early, but the other day Adam came to me, held out his hands and said “I have pink hands. Mummy has pink hands, Daddy has pink hands, Joshy has pink hands. Mrs Johnson and Miss Kimmie have pink hands (his preschool teachers). [...]
