Sunday, March 15, 2009The Rainforest Cafe
Last night we braved the torrential rain and drove to Southcenter to go to the Rainforest Cafe. It is a Rainforest themed restaurant with vines, animatronic animals, aquariums, and various other rain forest type things. Adam absolutely loved it, especially when we were seated under a fake sky complete with shooting stars, planets, and changing colours. The food wasn’t great, but we went more for the boys to have the experience and it was definitely a hit despite the long wait for a table!

Poor Josh was getting a bit impatient for dinner by the time we were seated! And before anyone says anything, yes we do let the boys drink soda when we are out for a meal. It’s a special treat.

The boys get a sip sometimes of my Diet Coke at home - Adam more than Josh. When we go out they love to have their own glass of DC just like mummy and daddy. They were so thirsty by the time we got seated for dinner that they bot downed a whole glass and then asked for more. They didn’t get through even half of the second one.

OH MAN! That place looks fun! I have never been - it wasn’t open when I lived up there.
I will be there in May - but just for 48 hours.
I will be back in July for about 10 days - we will have to get together!

I seriously was just thinking about Rainforest Cafe today. There used to be one near Philadelphia but it isn’t there anymore. I saw your comment at Pioneer Woman and came over to say hi. How cute are your boys? : )

Well hi there! Thanks for dropping by! My oldest son has been asking about the talking tree at the Rainforest Cafe since we left…I wish I had taken a photo of it for him. Thanks for the compliment about my boys, I totally agree!

We Love the Rainforest Cafe. Jadyn was a bit afraid of the thunderstorms that occured every 20 some minutes. I must be a worse mom than you because Jadyn gets a little glass of pop almost every day…… A few ounces……
