Adam is very into jigsaw puzzles. He has passed down all his baby wooden puzzles to Josh and has been doing regular small jigsaws with anywhere from 12-24 pieces for quite some time now, with no problems whatsoever. I also got him a puzzle of the USA a few months ago that has a piece for every state and he has mastered that too!
So today I had to go to a local book store and took Adam with me for the ride. Before I went searching for my book, we had a look in the children’s section to see if they had any more of the cheap paperback Clifford the Big Red Dog books that Adam loves and while there we took a look at what puzzles they had. Since he has been a good boy lately, I helped him pick one out - a 63 piece puzzle rated for over 5 years old with a quite intricate picture to put together (picture above).
Well, wouldn’t you know it? He’s almost completing it on his own already. Tonight before bed he did the puzzle twice with only a small amount of help from James or myself. That’s pretty impressive if you ask me!

Hi, my name is Sarah and I'm an expat Australian living in Seattle with my British husband and American-born English-Australian sons Adam and Joshua.
