1/2 cup butter
1/2-3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup flour
1 cup cornmeal
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Heat oven to 375.
Grease 9×9 inch pan.
Melt butter in big glass bowl.
Stir in sugar and eggs.
Add buttermilk and stir.
Combine dry ingredients in separate bowl, add to wet and stir.
Pour into pan and bake for 30 minutes.
