Sift:
one cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
one-quarter teaspoon salt

Beat and add:
one egg

Add:
1 cup milk, stir in gradually to make smooth
1 teaspoon melted butter or oil

Ladel into a hot frying pan. Flip pancakes when they bubble, to brown the other side.

Makes 4 pancakes.
